*Ralph Herzka is the chairman and CEO of Meridian Capital Group. Since co-founding Meridian in 1991, Mr. Herzka has remained the guiding force behind the company’s evolution from a small Brooklyn-based commercial mortgage brokerage to America’s most active deal maker and one of the nation’s leading commercial real estate finance, investment sales, and retail leasing advisors. In 2022, Meridian closed over $55 billion in financing across more than 310 unique lenders. Meridian represents many of the world’s leading real estate investors and developers and the company’s expansive platform has specialized practices for a broad array of property types including office, retail, multifamily, hotel, mixed-use, industrial, and healthcare and senior housing properties. Most recently in June 2021, Meridian, in partnership with Barings, launched NewPoint Real Estate Capital, a new lending platform. Mr. Herzka serves as Chairman of the Board at NewPoint. In addition to his professional leadership, Mr. Herzka is a dedicated philanthropist, raising millions of dollars for various organizations over his career. He is a passionate participant of Bike4Chai, an annual 180-mile cycling fundraiser for children fighting pediatric illnesses and disabilities. A son of holocaust survivors, Mr. Herzka is a lifelong resident of Brooklyn, NY, where he and his wife are proud parents and grandparents.
